A message from our President
Our President, Patrick Woodie highlights how, in the face of COVID’s challenges, the Center took our definition of “resilience” and expanded it, challenged it, and doubled down on our resolve to secure a brighter future for our state’s rural people and places.
Community Resilience
While we believe that a vibrant, diverse economy driven by entrepreneurs and small-business owners is key to the success of our state’s rural places, it is not the only thing that makes our rural communities resilient. We asked ourselves “what can we do today to strengthen our communities for tomorrow’s challenges?”
Community Resilience
Economic Resilience
Economic Resilience
COVID remained a pressing concern throughout the year, but we know that we will still feel its effects for years to come. We asked ourselves “what can we do today to support entrepreneurs and ensure that tomorrow’s economy will be more resilient?”
Future Resilience
COVID will be a part of our dialogue for the foreseeable future, but it isn’t the only challenge our communities will face in the coming years. We asked ourselves “what can we do today to ensure that North Carolina will thrive for all the tomorrows to come?”
Future Resilience
